Vice President, Asset & Risk Management, Community Wildfire Safety Program | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Debbie Powell is Vice President, Asset & Risk Management, Community Wildfire Safety Program, for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). In this capacity, she is responsible for leading centralized, risk-informed asset strategies, including system health, performance and prioritization. She also leads the company's Community Wildfire Safety Program.
Powell has amassed nearly 30 years of corporate, energy industry and military experience. She joined PG&E in 2010 and has served in several senior leadership roles in the company's electric operations and power generation organizations. Prior to joining PG&E, she led the Lower Colorado River Authority's 425 MW Thomas C. Ferguson Power Plant, as plant manager.
Powell began her career in the United States Navy, serving in a variety of leadership and engineering roles on several combatant ships. She retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2012.
Powell graduated from the United States Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in general science, and is a 2011 graduate of Leadership California.
